Welcome to Stocksbridge High School

Stocksbridge High school is an over subscribed 11-16 School situated twelve miles north of Sheffield. We gained Specialist School status in 2003 as a Maths and Computing College and our new ICT block has provided a state of the art resource for our students and the local community.

Our ethos is about caring for everyone and understanding what we can offer and learn from others. Our recent OFSTED report (2005) found us to be a Good school which provides an effective education for our students, Teaching was found to be Good in over 75% of lessons and Very Good and Excellent in over a quarter.

We have high expectations of everyone connected to our school. Students are expected to work hard and aim high.

Community Groups All Community Groups

Stocksbridge Youth Centre
Stocksbridge youth centre is the biggest youth centre in the area and a lot of young people come here. Behind the centre there is a big playing field which we use in the summer. Inside there are 10 computers, all with access to the internet. Also for the computer we have a printer, photo copier, digital camera, and lots more. In the bottom of the centre there is a sports gym.
