Mathematics

Ensure students feel confident in Mathematics through a deep and thorough mathematical education, enabling each student to reach their full potential.

Develop an enjoyment and enthusiasm for mathematics and show understanding of the importance of Mathematics in the world around us and help make a contribution to that world.

Develop a culture of independent and cooperative learning, where students feel able to take risks and develop new ideas to solve problems and thus become resilient individuals. Create an ethos in maths department of high aspirations, where we set high standards for behaviour, work and presentation.

The tests will be marked by the teacher and stuck into their books. The student/teacher will create a maximum of three appropriate targets and the evidence that they have worked on their targets will be stuck into their books next to their tests.
