Year 7 Design & Technology Homework

Course Descriptors

Design & Technology is an exciting subject where problem solving, creative thinking and the development of practical skills are important aspects. The subject brings together Resistant Materials, Food Technology, Electronics and Graphics and has five well-equipped practical rooms. ICT equipment is available in all rooms including a state-of-the–art CNC Router/Miller with computers available for students to use.

Practical skills have a central emphasis in the projects undertaken in this area and students in all years are very proud of their work. Students at Stocksbridge have a reputation for producing practical work of a very high standard and this is evident at the annual D&T exhibition.

At KS3 all students opt for one of the following GCSE courses:
Food Technology, Resistant Materials, Graphic Products or Electronics.
