Drama

Drama gives all students the opportunity to explore ideas, investigate issues and use their imaginations in a constructive way. Through group work, students learn vital communication and collaboration skills: essential for further education and employment alike.

At Key Stage 3, our Drama students study a variety of challenging and stimulating schemes of work that teach them drama conventions and theatre skills through units such as Physical Theatre, Forum Theatre, exploration and scriptwriting.

Enthusiastic and talented students are encouraged to take the subject through to Key Stage 4.

Drama plays a key role in the wider school community, with students actively involved in the annual Carol Supper, our Murder Mystery Evening, and a weekly drama club. We have also worked with the National Theatre’s Connections program to produce high quality whole school productions.
