Performance of our Students in 2016
Students at Stocksbridge High School achieved grades which enabled them to progress to the next stages of their education. 58% of students achieved 5 or more passes at A*-C. (51% passed at A*-C including maths and English) With over 20% achieving 5 or more passes at A-A*. The national accountability measure used to compare school, the Progress 8 score was -0.36. This meant that 45% of our students achieved on or above national expectations across all their subjects.
We were particularly proud of Ben, George and Charlotte who achieved all their passes at GCSE at the highest grades of A or A*.
We are looking forward to continued success with our current year 11. This year sees the introduction of the first GCSEs graded on the new 9-1 scale. With new national accountability measures, it will mean it is difficult to compare our current results with future results. We know our students will work hard and achieve the grades they need to be successful young adults as they move on from Stocksbridge High School.
